Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman provided their audiences with stellar and memorable performances. My favorite scenes often included the native, protective and spiritual grandfather of Nullah (a Euro-Aborigini boy). I realize the critics are complaining about the typical plot and the lack of acting quality but don't listen to them, unless you consider yourself a very picky film connoiseur. Right after this film you will feel hopeful, tearful. I have heard a few compare this film to Thorn Birds. Personally, this film reminded me of Gone with the Wind since both included destruction to homes due to fire. I would recommend this film to 95% of adult audiences.
